Mary Upchurch Davis

MARY UPCHURCH DAVIS Mary Upchurch Davis was born in Vivian, Louisiana on April 28, 1924 to Preston Holcomb and Flauna May Steelman. Mary passed away in McKinney, Texas on October 9, 2014. Mary was raised around Sulpher Springs, Texas. She later moved to the Scurry - Rosser area where she lived most of her life. Mary was a cook for the Scurry - Rosser ISD in the 60's and 70's and then worked for a sewing factory in Ennis, Texas for several years. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rosser. She was preceded in death by her husband William L. Upchurch in 1954. Mary is survived by her son: Roy Upchurch and his wife Nellois of Van Alstyne, brother: Glen Holcomb of Greenville, sisters: Iva Lee Craven and Betty Shaw both of Terrell, grandchildren: Angela UIpchurch, Valerie Stranathan, Bethany Roe and Aaron Upchurch, six great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
