ALBERT EDWARD BURGIN, JR. Albert Edward Burgin Jr. was born in Fort Worth, Texas on July 21, 1932 to Albert and Hazel McClean Burgin. Albert passed away in a Kaufman, Texas hospital on November 1, 2014. Albert was raised in Fort Worth and graduated from Texas Christian University where he also played football in 1954. Albert served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Albert taught school and coached in the Fort Worth area and in south Texas and also in Forney, Texas. He retired from teaching in the 1980's and moved to Scurry, Texas in 2010. Albert was a member of the Saint Timothy Episcopal Church in Cotulla, Texas, a member of the National Rifle Association and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Albert is survived by his son: John Burgin of Scurry, TX, daughters: Cynthia Peltier-Briscoe of Angleton, TX and Kimberly Graham of Damon, TX, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brother: Jay Burgin of Whitefish MT, sisters: Virginia Contarsy of Huntington Beach, CA and Betty Blomberg of Angleton, TX.
