MARILYN "MOMOO" HOOPER EASTEP Marilyn "Momoo" Hooper Eastep Momoo - beloved wife, sister, mother and grandmother. A "Momoo" to a host of those who claimed her as their own, who may not have been kin through blood but were kin by unconditional love and fellowship she offered to all. She was born in Frankston, Texas on April 13, 1940 to Willie "Woody" Perry and Mary Nell Hooper. She grew up in Waco, Texas and moved to Seagoville, Texas in 1958, the day after she graduated from high school. After moving to Seagoville she met Robert Eastep at a fast food Drive-In. Three weeks later they were married in Seagoville, Texas on March 20, 1959 and resided there until moving to Crandall, Texas in 1970. Robert and Marilyn had three children together: Perry, Mary and Terry Eastep. She served in the Crandall ISD for 20 years doing everything from driving a bus, working in the library, substitute teaching, secretary to the principal and her last position as Secretary to the Business Manager in the Administration Building. She began playing piano for her youth group at 14 years of age and quickly became a regular for the adult service. Over the years she has served many churches and played for an untold number of revivals, weddings and funerals. Her favorite past time was to have family and friends over for picking and grinning, a time of fellowship and singing. She has been preceeded in death by her parents, her husband and her son Perry. She is survived by her son Terry and her daughter-in-love Jodi Eastep of Crandall, her daughter Mary and son-in-love Mike Brooks, grandchildren Robert and Natasha Brooks of Crandall, Mackenzie Brooks of Crandall, and Anna and Sarah Eastep of Crandall, her brother Johnny and his wife Christina Hooper of Dallas, Texas and her sister Carolyn and her husband James Skelton of Crandall, Texas.
