Billy Jack Dorough

BILLY JACK DOROUGH Billy Jack Dorough was born in Kaufman, Texas on August 19, 1937 to Temple and Maurine Wren Dorough. Billy Jack passed away at a Kaufman hospital on November 25, 2014. Billy Jack was raised in Kaufman County and graduated from Mabank High School. He served in the U. S Army from 1960 to 1962. After the service Billy Jack worked for the REA for four years and then at Kaufman Fabricators. Billy Jack was a mechanic on heavy equipment for many years. He was a member of the Prairieville Baptist Church and a past member of the Kaufman VFW and American Legion. On August 22, 1965 Billy Jack married Jana Gail Melton in Kaufman at the First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Jana of Kaufman, sons: Gary Wren Dorough of Kaufman, Billy Jack Dorough Jr and his wife Cheryl of Burleson and Temple Melton Dorough and his wife Sue of Forney, brothers: Donald Dorough of Styx, David Dorough of Kaufman, Bobby Dorough of Scurry and Kenneth Dorough of Ennis, sisters: Jean Myrick of Mabank and Susan Shaw of Kaufman, grandchildren: Cody Dorough, Chris Dorough and Michaela Dorough, great-grandchildren: Skylar, Eric and Alexis.
