EDWARD JACKSON TURNER Edward Jackson Turner was born in Kaufman, Texas on August 14, 1926 to T. W. Turner and Ethel Lightfoot. Jack passed away at his home in Kaufman on December 9, 2014. Jack was raised in Kaufman where he lived all of his life. In 1944 Jack enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served in World War II. After, he was discharged he moved back Kaufman. Jack worked for Texas Instruments in Dallas for nineteen years and later worked for the Texas Department of Transportation in Kaufman for nine years. On June 22, 1946 Jack married Jimmie Mae Howell in Dallas. He taught two and three year old children in the bible class at the Church of Christ. He loved children and often made children's furniture to give away. Jack also provided transportation to the doctor's office form many different people. Jack was a member of the Landmark Church of Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter Brenda in 1963. Jack is survived by his wife: Jimmie of Kaufman, son: Ronald Turner and his wife Julie of Kaufman, brothers: Tom Turner of San Antonio and Joe Bailey Turner of Forney, sisters: Lydia Gardner of Kaufman, Alice Perdue of Crandall, Janice Lindsey of Kaufman and Frankie Prater of Irving, grandchildren: Melissa Jones of Lively and Jenny Miles of Kaufman, great-grandchildren: Taylor Turner, Westin Jones, Breanna Fletcher and Colby Jones, great-great granddaughter: Karsynn.
