John William Sullivan John William Sullivan was born on October 10, 1919 in Rosser, Texas to Charles Talmadge and Kate Robertson Sullivan. John passed away in Kemp, Texas on January 28, 2015. John was born and raised in Rosser. John married Bernice Wilkinson on February 5, 1946 in Rosser, Texas. John entered Texas A & M University in 1939 but was interrupted by World War II when he joined the U. S. Navy in 1939. He later graduated from Texas A&M University in 1950. After his service to his country and graduating from Texas A & M University, John began teaching agriculture in South Texas for the Texas Extension Service. John then moved to Dallas where he began working for Prudential Life Insurance Co. John stayed in Dallas until 1980, then he made his home in Scurry, Texas in 1980. John retired from Prudential Insurance Company in 1981. John was a member of Victory Church of Scurry, Texas. John was preceded in death by his wife Berniece and is survived by two sons; Bill Sullivan and his wife Terri of Scurry, Wayne Sullivan and his wife Rosemary of Scurry, Three grandchildren Greg Sullivan, Mark Sullivan, and Michael Sullivan, Four great-grandchildren Heather, Nick, Lilly and Madeline and many other relatives and friends.
