Lester S. Allgyer

LESTER S. ALLGYER Lester S. Allgyer was born Bareville, Pennsylvania on August 18, 1947 to LeRoy Allgyer and Lizzie A. Stoltzfus. Lester passed away at a Dallas, Texas hospital on February 25, 2015. Lester was raised in Pennsylvania and later moved to Scurry, Texas in 1988. He was a self employed carpenter and loved gardening. Lester was a member of the Grays Prairie Mennonite Church. He was preceded in death by a son Filas Allgyer on March 23, 2013. On July 26, 1969 Lester married Lillian Laura Smith in Maryland. He is survived by his wife: Lillian of Scurry, sons: Marcus Allgyer of Seven Points, Jared Allgyer of Free Union, Virginia and Joel Allgyer of Scurry, daughters: Tabitha Martin of Emory, Ruth Allgyer of Pittsgrove, New Jersey and Laura Stover of Sterling, Alaska, father: LeRoy Allgyer of Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania, brothers: Wilmer Allgyer of Terre Hill, Pennsylvania, Emanuel Allgyer of Johnsville, Illinois, LeRoy Allgyer Jr., of Whittington, Illinois and Kenneth Allgyer of New Holland, Pennsylvania, sister: Ruth Ann Nolt of Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania, twenty-three grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday, March 2, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Grays Prairie Mennonite Church. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home of Kaufman.
