MARGARET JANE McCARTY Margaret Jane McCarty was born on February 3, 1923 in Pottsville, Texas. She graduated from Pottsville High School in 1942. She repaired and helped build aircraft for WW II and was one of the women that represented Rosie the Riveter during the war. Margaret married R. M. McCarty April 15, 1947 in Hill County, Texas. They owned and operated B & B Café for 17 years in Arlington, Texas. She retired from Texas Instrument after 20 years of service. In 1967 they moved to Terrell, Texas where she enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. Margaret was baptized on August 6, 2005. She spent the last several years of her life in Canton, Texas where she enjoyed spending time with her family and spreading her laughter and love with her community. Her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandson were the loves of her life. She was a fascinating woman with a remarkable life and will forever be in the hearts of those who knew her.
