JAMES CLYDE GARNER James Clyde Garner passed away at his home in Ovilla, Texas on August 4, 2015. James was born in Kaufman, Texas on May 20, 1930 to Clyde Denver Garner and Lillie Chism. James was raised in Kaufman where he graduated from Kaufman High School. He entered the U. S. Navy in 1948 and served during the Korean Conflict. He lived a short time in Forney before moving back to Kaufman when he married Mary Louise Campbell on June 8, 1953. Later James moved to Farmers Branch and then to Ovilla in 1979. He worked for John Deere as an accountant and retired in 1986. James was a member of the Ovilla United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary on November 11, 2012 and James is survived by his sons: Jim Garner of Collinsville, Texas and Ron Garner of Burleson, Texas, daughter: Debbie Precour of Malakoff, Texas, brother: Charles Robert Garner of Arlington, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
