George Wayne Buchanan

GEORGE WAYNE BUCHANAN George Wayne Buchanan of Combine, Texas passed away at his home on August 7, 2015. Wayne was born in Granite, Oklahoma on December 1, 1941 to George William Buchanan and Velma Haney. George was raised in Granite where he graduated from high school. He moved to Dallas, Texas in 1968 to be a police officer. George started working for the Dallas Police Department as an officer on March 18, 1968. He retired from the police department on December 1, 1996. George was a member of Gideon's International and a member of Victory Church in Scurry, Texas. He loved tinkering around the house and barn. On, May 18, 1972 George married Janet Francille Ramsey in Dallas, Texas. He is survived by his wife: Janet of Combine, sons: Chris Buchanan and his wife Sue of Seagoville and Gregory Buchanan and his wife Chastity of Crandall, daughter: Terri Tate of Forney, brother: Bill Buchanan of Mangum, Oklahoma, grandchildren: Holly Mohler, Samantha Phillips, Michael Dabney, Natalie Buchanan and Emily Buchanan, great-grandchildren: Blake, Emma, Graycie and Tatum and many other relatives and friends.
