Janet Norton Wallace

February 17, 1920 — September 1, 2015

JANET NORTON WALLACE September 1, 2015, was a glorious day when Janet Norton Wallace went to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven. She joined the love of her life, Carroll Wallace, along with her sweet daughter, Carol Ann Ruff, and many other family members. She was born to Luther and Jessie Norton on February 17, 1920, in Warsaw, Texas. She lived her 95 ½ years in the Kaufman area where she touched the lives of many with her contagious smile and magnetic personality. Janet married her sweetheart, Marion Carroll Wallace, on November 25, 1939. They were loving parents to two daughters Carol Ann and Lana Jo. They had a wonderful life together for 70 years. She was a lifelong member of the Grace Christian Church of Kaufman. Sharing her love of God was one of her greatest joys, which she did faithfully on every Sunday through teaching children and adult Sunday School classes for over 60 years. She will be missed dearly by her daughter, Lana Jo Summers and her husband, Toby; her grandchildren, Todd Ruff, Leslie Ruff McGlamery and husband, Chris, Benjamin Summers and wife, Andrea, and Zachary Summers and wife, Jenny. She was best known by them as Nonnie. Nonnie adored her four beautiful great-grandchildren, Kaylee Ruff, Carter Ruff, Macy McGlamery and Parker McGlamery. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Her love of life and happy, positive attitude made her a joy to all who knew her. She treasured her family and friends and loved being everyone's "Nonnie". She will miss her wonderful Colonial Lodge family of caregivers and friends and would want them to know that she is "fine as wine" in her new Heavenly home.
