Margaret Francis Palmer passed away December 11, 2015 in Terrell, Texas at the age of 91. Margaret was born October 11, 1924 in Kaufman to Roy L. and Francis Bell Palmer. She was their only child. Margaret attended Kaufman schools, graduating at the top of her class at the age of 16. She was in the Kaufman High School class of 1941. Margaret furthered her education attending and graduating from Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas. Having lived and worked in Dallas for many years as an executive secretary for oil and gas companies this allowed Margaret to be able to enjoy extension travel around the world. She made many trips over the years, learning several languages to better communicate with the people she encounterred along the way. Margaret was a long time faiththful member of Church of the Incarnation- Episcopal in Dallas. She enjoyed working in their benevolence shop over the years as well as several clubs and organizations connected to her job. Over the years she worked for The Cotton Exchange, Pan Oil & Dorchester Gas. She was a member of Tip Toppers, Desk & Derricks among others. Margaret did extensive research in geneology for many years into the Palmer and Bell families. She found it to be a very enjoyable hobby. Margaret is survived by cousins as well as good friends. Services were held Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Parker Ashworth Funeral Home with Father David Petrash, Vicar of Church of our Merciful Saviour, Episcopal of Kaufman officiating. Burial followed at Kaufman Cemetery.
