Katie Louise Calhoun

KATIE LOUISE CALHOUN

Katie Louise Calhoun was born in Hill County, Texas on November 18, 1924 to Earnest Edgar Reames and Hallie Ruby Brock. Katie passed away in a Kaufman, Texas hospital on January 1, 2016.  Katie was raised around Frost and Mertens.  Later she moved to Kaufman where she attended Kaufman schools.  Katie worked for Aberdeen Manufacturing for twelve years before retiring in 1987.  After she retired she started taking care of all of her grandchildren full time.  Katie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kaufman where she was a very active member.  She was preceded in death by her son, Wesley W. Calhoun Jr. in 2009.  Katie is survived by her son:  Tony Calhoun of Kaufman, daughters:  Luella Shehee and her husband Jimmie of Kaufman and Ruby Saladino and her husband Gary of Crandall, brother:  Bobby Reames of Garland, grandchildren:  Christopher Calhoun, Crystal Rychlik, Austin Rychlik, Jonathan Rychlik and Nicholas Saladin, three great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
