Don Ferrell Baker

DON FERRELL BAKER

Don Ferrell Baker of Kaufman, Texas passed away at his home on February 5, 2016. Don was born in Milford, Texas on February 23, 1932 to Henry Baker and Fairy Seabolt.  Don was raised in the Styx and Kemp area before entering the U. S. Army in 1950 and serving during the Korean War.  Don was discharged in 1970 after serving twenty years.  After, retiring from the U. S. Army Don moved back to Kaufman and began working for the Texas Highway Department in Kaufman and retired from there in 1994.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.  He loved taking many pictures.  He married Gerda Anita Knaur in Staubling, Germany on December 14, 1958 she preceded him in death on August 28, 2007.  Don is survived by his daughters:  Linda Kay McKinney of Dallas and Debbie Baker of Roanoke, sister:  Lila Tapp of Mabank, grandchildren:  Michael Gene McKinney and Casey Ryan McKinney and many other relatives and friends.
