James Harold Baucom was born on April 7, 1926 in Scurry, Texas to William Johnson and Berdie Taylor Baucom. James went home to his lord and savior on March 1, 2016 in a Plano, Texas hospital. James was raised in Kerens, Texas before serving in the United States Army during World War II. After his dedicated service defending our country James went to work for LTV in Grand Prairie, Texas as a machinist. James was employed at LTV for 19 years before retiring in 1962 as a machinist. He was a member of the Baptist Church where he pastered in several different churches in the area. James married ruby Marie Clemmons on November 25, 1946 in Kaufman, Texas. James was preceded in death by his wife on May 12, 2011, a son Ronald Baucom and a daughter Debra Sue Neugen. He is survived by his sons: Harold G. Baucom and his wife Mary of Warsaw, Darrell Baucom and his wife Shirley of Warsaw and Thomas G. Baucom and Ginger Nelms of Combine, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
