John H. Taylor

John Henry Taylor, 84, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2017 surrounded by family members. John was born to George Washington and Sara Elizabeth Taylor on April 11, 1933 in Cedar Hill, TX. He spent 2 years in the Army stationed in Georgia and Alaska. John was a freight line truck driver for 45 years. He also drove a school bus for 14 years for the Kaufman ISD, raised goats for a short while, and enjoyed mowing the yard. John married Jean Cooksey in Durant, OK on June 30, 1956 and they had 60 wonderful years together. Together they lived in Kaufman for 31 years. They were members of the First Assembly of God Church of Kaufman. Those who preceded him in death are his parents and 11 siblings. Those left to cherish John's memory include: his wife Jean; daughters Charlotte Jean Taylor and husband Thomas E. Sawyer and Dina Kay Taylor; grandchildren Jeana Kay Taylor-Sawyer and Thomas John Taylor-Sawyer and wife Charlene Michelle who will miss him dearly.
