Joyce Craven Kirkwood was born May 20, 1951 to Ernest and Ruby Caldwell Craven. Joyce died at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas on June 5, 2017.

Joyce grew up in Kaufman, Texas and was a 1969 graduate of Kaufman High School. She was a member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving, Texas.

She is survived by sister Doris Craven Naylor, daughter Kristy DeCapa, son Klae Purkey, daughter Shanda and husband Danny Ferguson, daughter Beth and husband John Whitus, grandchildren Tabitha, Paul, Ryder, Cheyenne, Kayla, Madisyn, Dayton, Alex, Brantley and Caily, nephew Dewayne Naylor and wife Joanne, niece Becky Naylor and Colton and Cailey Ginn and nephew Jacob Gann and wife Angie. She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Rudy Caldwell Craven, husband Terry Kirkwood, sister Crissy Craven Gann and grandson Kasey Cooper.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Lawrence Schiller and the doctors and nurses at Baylor Medical Center of Dallas for all the care and love shown to Joyce and her family over the years.
