William Morris Voorhies, 71, of Kaufman, TX passed away on December 15, 2017 in Dallas, TX. William was born to Morris and Ann Voorhies on November 30, 1946 in Taylor, TX. William graduated from Kaufman High and lived in Kaufman all his life. He received a Bachelor's degree from East Texas State and worked as a building designer. William married Paula in 1998 in Kaufman. He spent time working on his car, going to the lake and traveling. He enjoyed his time with his Lunch Club buddies: Barry Thompson, Larry Nelson, David Cluck, Mason Evans, Newt Trail and Ray Hall. He was a beloved Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother. His parents preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memory are: wife Paula, son James Voorhies and wife Kelly of San Antonio, TX, daughters: Julie Westmoreland and husband Keith of Forney, TX and Joella Hutchinson and husband Ryan of Eustace, TX, grandchildren: Katie Voorhies, Courtney Homer, Codie Homer, Garrison Ivey, Gracie Ivey, Cori Hutchinson and Cooper Hutchinson, great grandchild William Grijalva and sister Peggy Voorhies who will miss him dearly.
