Alma Lorayne Smith

Alma Lorayne Smith of Kaufman, TX passed away on January 13, 2018 in Dallas, TX.  Alma was born August 25, 1926 to Sidney Lewis Newton and Elva Harris Newton near Little Elm, Denton County, TX.  She lived most of her young adult life in Dallas and Garland, moving to Kaufman in December 1961.  Blessed with good health, good friends and a loving God-fearing church Family called Landmark Church of Christ.  Alma was survived by a son Jay Scott, nephew Sam LePere and family, cousins: Nancy Jones and Mona Arocha.  She was preceded in death by both parents, brother Samuel l. Newton, cousins (who were also brother and sister in her heart) Betty Baker LePere and her brother, Cecil Baker.
