Matthew Cade Pearson

Matthew “Cade” Pearson, 15, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2018. Cade was born on August 23, 2002 in Dallas, TX as the youngest child to Greg and Kristin Pearson. Cade was a member of The First Baptist Church of Kaufman. He attended Kaufman High School where he was on the Robotics Team as well as the Freshman Basketball Team. He travelled extensively for cancer treatments and was always willing to tackle the next challenge. More than anything Cade was a remarkable young man.  He was so smart, excelling in math and science.  Cade fought a long battle with melanoma, but he never complained, loved his friends, inspired others and always volunteered to serve through school or church.  Cade enjoyed making others laugh with his quick humor and he loved playing baseball, basketball and video games. His relentless desire to never give up and his faith in God gave others strength.  Cade was a fighter to the end and he will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish his memory have solace in knowing Cade is now with Jesus.  They are his parents Greg and Kristin, sister Kendall Pearson and brother Brock Pearson; grandparents Paul and Jan Jones, Diane Burns and Charles Pearson; great grandmothers Faye Fox and Helen Nichols; and numerous extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life Memorial is planned for Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Kaufman High School Fine Arts Building beginning at 6 pm.  The family has requested in lieu of flowers to make a donation to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN or the Make a Wish of North Texas Foundation.
