Michael Paul Roffino

Michael Paul Roffino was born on March 15, 1975 in Dallas, TX and went to be with his Lord on April 27, 2018 in Kaufman, TX. Michael was a loving father, husband, son, brother, uncle, friend and cowboy.

He was an accomplished horseman on the ranch and in the competition arena. Michael was also an avid outdoorsman, Harley enthusiast and always played the role of camp cook. Michael was the go-to for his tribe on many levels. His legacy of helping others was felt so strongly by so many - from a clever quip for any situation to building barns for his closest buddies. His love for the land and his cattle created a great legacy with the Flying R Cattle Co.

Michael’s greatest joy came from watching his son develop into a kind-hearted young man and traveling down the rodeo trail with his loving bride, Trina. Family was the center of his world and he cherished those special times together.

A Celebration of Life for Michael will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, May 2 at Round Pen Cowboy Church, 5620 N FM 148, Terrell, TX 75160. Committal Service at Wilson Chapel Cemetery will follow the service.

He is survived by his wife Trina, son Garrett, father Richard Roffino and wife Marjorie, mother Peggy Akin and husband Gary, mother-in-law Patty Wiggins; sister Melissa Davis and husband Chris, sister Melanie Wilson and husband Casey, stepbrother Sean Akin and wife Dawn, stepbrother Jeffrey Akin and wife Gina; nieces and nephews Ashlyn Davis, Andrew Davis, Alta Wilson, Andre Wilson, Anderson Wilson, Brie Akin, Gabby Akin, Troy Akin, Emjaye Akin, Ender Akin and Eden Akin… and Willie the weenie dog.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to two organizations close to Michael’s heart.
