David Benjamin Adams

David Benjamin Adams, age 28, passed away May 29, 2018.  David was born on February 6, 1990 in Desoto, Texas to Tommy and Cathy (Metcalf) Adams.  He was a graduate of Kaufman High School.  He had been a house manager for several Sober Homes in the Kerrville area and most recently was working in the restaurant industry as a server and trainer.   David was a strong advocate for victims of bullying, abuse and rape. At the age of 16, he heroically took down a man that was wielding a knife and chasing a co-worker.  David’s unselfish act stopped a potentially horrible crime.  For the past few years, David has been attending El Centro Community College in Dallas to become a paralegal with plans to attend law school to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer.  David had a very vibrant and magnetic personality and was blessed to have many lifelong friendships.   

David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Brenda Metcalf and Boyd and Billie Adams.  Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Tommy and Cathy Adams; siblings, John, Catherine and Thomas Adams; numerous relatives and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 3pm to 5pm at Parker Ashcroft Funeral Home, 2217 South Washington Street, Kaufman, Tx 75142.  Funeral Services will be held at 1pm Monday, June 4, 2018 at Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Small officiating.  Burial will follow at Kaufman Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Tommy Adams, John Adams, Thomas Adams, Kaleb Hamilton, Jeremy Bradley. Oreste Toro and Glenn Powell.
