Larry Bracken

Services for Larry will be held on his birthday at 11am Monday June 25th at Grace Christian Church, 504 South Houston Street with Dr. Philip Chacko officiating. Larry passed away on Friday June 15th. He entered this world on June 25, 1931 in Wichita Falls, TX, born to Harold and Pauline Bracken. On September 1, 2006 Larry and Arlyss married in Las Vegas . Larry proudly served in The United States Marine Corps and was based in Camp Pendleton California. He loved California so much that he stayed in California and got into the acting business. While there he became personal friends with many upcoming Hollywood stars including Liberace and his roommate Dennis Hopper. Larry was the Master of Ceremonies for Liberace. Larry was in the real estate business for more than 50 years in both California and Texas. Larry and Arlyss moved to the Post Oak Bend community in 2006 and cherished the many friends they met in the Kaufman area. He fell in love with Kaufman and the people who live here and throughout the years made many friends. He was an avid golfer and played many of the courses around the Kaufman and Dallas areas. He was a member of Grace Christian Church of Kaufman. Larry is survived by his loving wife Arlyss Bracken, Son: Matthew Bracken and wife Anda, Daughters: Angela Keller and husband Stacy, Stephanie Couch; Brothers: Gene Bracken and wife Maryann, Michael Bracken and wife Kay; Sisters: Carol Cupit and husband Bill, Janice Pascuzzi and husband Gene; Grandchildren: Axel, Alex, Dakoda, Autumn, Jennifer, Lane and numerous other grandchildren.
