Mary Geraldine Dickey, 89, of Scurry, TX passed away on August 12, 2018 in Kemp, TX. Mary was born to Alvin Henry  and Elsie Inez Simmons on August 4, 1929 in Clear Lake, TX. She has lived in the Kaufman area since 1986. Mary married Benjamin Dickey in 1984. Mary worked at Adam Hats making all kinds of hats for many years until she retired from there. She also spent time sewing, throwing pottery and gardening. She was a beloved wife, mom and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Elsie, first husband Travis Hankins, sons Larry Hankins and Ronnie Hankins, sisters Tommie Sanders, June Sherrill and Peggy Wadlington. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Benjamin, son Jackie Dickey and wife Brenda of Scurry, TX, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, brothers Percy Simmons and Glenn Simmons, sisters Doris Jones and Nita Howard and other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
