Payton Rae Deaver

November 18, 1997 — September 22, 2018

Payton Rae Deaver, born November 18, 1997 in Dallas, Texas, went to be with Jesus sooner than we ever expected on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the age of 20. Payton is survived by her 13 month old son Lukas Allen Deaver and daughter Sophia Rose Weiss, father Lynn Deaver, mother Nancy Braley, sister Ashlynn and Ashlynn’s husband Cullin Ellis and a brother, Collin Deaver, Grandparents Richard and Virginia Braley, aunt Melanie Braley, as well as a number of other loving relatives, close friends and co-workers. Payton is preceded in death by her Grandparents Jerry and Lorna Deaver.  Payton, or “P” as some called her, graduated from Winfree Academy in Richardson, Texas in 2017. After high school Payton became a young mother and bravely made her son her first and foremost, top priority. Despite her hectic schedule of keeping up with her young son, family and friends were Payton’s passion and delight. She grew up here in Kaufman and then moved with her family to Allen. In the last year Payton and Lucas relocated to Greenville where she worked as a waitress at a local iHop restaurant serving more sweet smiles than she did pancakes. She enjoyed reading, journaling, coloring, cooking and was planning to soon enroll in classes to begin pursuing a career in nursing. Payton was currently working on a coloring for her daughter that lives in Missouri. For those that knew Payton, she was always checking on everyone. She had a genuine interest in what and how her friends and family were doing and would surprise others with her random check-ins, sometimes just to see if you had a good day. She never left or ended a phone call without telling you that she loved you. Her sweet nature and absolute joy of being the very best mother she could, will be missed but will never be forgotten. She touched many lives and never let the weight of the world diminish her bright light or her drive to rise above obstacles. She left us far too soon but will forever be in our hearts and live on through Lukas.
