James Earl Gibbons, 79, of Kaufman, TX passed away at home surrounded by his family on October 13, 2018. James was born to Robert Lee and Freda May Gibbons on August 10, 1939 in McKinney, TX. James married Angelena Gibbons in 1985. He lived in scurry and finally in Kaufman since 1970. James loved to play his guitar, even writing his own songs and making a record. He would spend time camping, fishing and hunting. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great grandfather and the most important thing to him was his family and being with them or knowing where they were when they weren't with him. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Sandra Pratt and husband Michael of Mabank, TX, Jeana Riley and husband Chad of Kaufman, TX; son James Allen Gibbons of Kaufman, TX; first wife Patsy Evans; brothers: Robert, Terry and Clyde; sisters: Shirley, Dorothy, Nita and Darla; grandchildren: MIstie, Trent, James, Jr. and Justin; great grandchildren: Reagyn, Parker, Dustin, Grayson, Brook and Braden; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
