Janis B. Morrow, 86, of Scurry, Texas went home to her Lord and Savior on October 31, 2018. Janis was born in Dallas, Texas to William and Estaleen Woodard on August 30, 1932. Janis married Raymond Morrow in Dallas, Texas on November 1, 1950. She worked for Sanger Harris Department Store at Big Town Mall . Janis was also a kindergarten teacher at Metropolitan Tabernacle. She worked in the banking industry at the bank in Balch Springs, Texas. Raymond and Janis moved to Scurry, Texas in 1973 and Janis worked in the nursery at Mount Olive Baptist Church for 20 years. Those who have preceded her in death are her parents, her husband, son Curtis Morrow and grandson Curtis Valdivia. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters Crystal Mount and husband Howard, Charie Campbell and husband Dave and Cherie Jones and husband David; brother Jack Woodard and wife Dorthy; 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. In honor of Janis Morrow, the family is asking for donations to made to your choice of either Pleasant Grove Christian Church, located at 1324 Pleasant Drive, Dallas, Texas 75217 or The American Breast Cancer Association of Greater Dallas.
