Lora Frances Busby
January 10, 1934 — February 3, 2019
Lora Frances Busby, 85, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2019 at home. Frances was born on January 10, 1934 in Rand to William E. and Sarah Ellen Howell. She has lived in the Kaufman area her entire life. In April 1948 she married Raymond Temple Busby in Dallas and they spent a wonderful 53 years together before his passing in August 2001. Frances worked for the Kaufman ISD as a cook in the cafeteria for 35 years from 1969 to 1994. She is a member of the Landmark Church of Christ, and she loved to sing and cook. Frances also enjoyed her time at the Sr. Citizen's Center especially when she would participate in the Friday night "pickin and grinnin" as she liked to call it. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, as well as her son Jimmy Raymond Busby and siblings: Willie Fern Howell, J.D. Howell, Bud Howell and Margaret Evans. Those left to cherish her memory are daughters Susan Renee Burkhart and husband John of Kemp, TX and Regina Carol Stoy and husband Greg of Kaufman, TX; brothers Gayle Howell and wife Janice of Kaufman and Gerald Howell and wife Lynn of Canton; sister Jimmie Mae Turner of Kaufman; grandchildren: Sarah, Katie, Alanna, William, Taylor and Jane; great grandchildren: Alex, Parker, Jordan, Landry, Kohen, Jemma and Lilah Grace; numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
